Offering rejuvenation and inspiration to all who enter its tropical grounds, the festival invites some of the world’s greatest instructors offering diverse workshops in yoga, meditation, music and dance, as well as seminars in healing and health.
We’ve caught up with some of BaliSpirit’s teachers and presenters to find out their top wellbeing tips as well as finding out why they love BaliSpirit Festival so much! Next up: Deb Rubin.
YNON: What are your top tips(s) on bringing more spirit into one's daily life
Spirit is everywhere. All the time. The connection is possible in every moment, no matter where you are, or what your lifestyle is. Move the body. Immerse in nature.Dance. Practice your Yoga. Find your breath, reconnect with body, and the rest will flow from there
YNON: One top wellbeing thought you always remind yourself of when life gets off the track
DR: “Don’t forget to Dance.” Dance gets me out of my head and back into my body, and it reconnects me to the body’s inherent intelligence and own embodied wisdom
Q3-Your recipe for a healthy & happy life
DR: Daily practice and acceptance. Return to your mat, and enjoy the journey! Surround yourself with people you love, beauty, and healthy choices. Fill your days with activities and people who inspire you. See the beauty in everything, and dare to follow the “Yes’s”, and your instincts towards what lights you up inside.
YNON: One top thing you hope the participants of your workshop at BSF-2015 will take out
DR: Appreciation and enjoyment of this art form: Tribal Fusion Belly Dance;A deep reconnection to core self, deeply embodied feminine power, and fun, beautiful creative expression.
YNON: What are you hoping to take our of BSF-2015 for yourself?
DR: Bali is one of my favourite places on Earth. To immerse in practice, play, learning, celebration, and diversity, getting to share the music, dance, Yoga, and awakening spirit together, as we will be doing together at Bali Spirit Festival 2015 is such a gift! I am really looking forward to immersing with everyone, dancing together, and soaking in all of the inspiration of our collective sangha.
