Brinkley also lifts weights and does yoga and cardio workouts, including spinning and running. The blonde beauty has followed a vegetarian diet since age 12.
"I've been a vegetarian since I was about 12 years old," she said. "When I became a vegetarian I got my mom and dad to become vegetarian, and my brother became a vegetarian."
Christie typically has oatmeal with mixed berries with breakfast, a large salad with beans and nuts for lunch, and pasta with vegetables for dinner. The 5-foot-9 blonde stunner snacks on dark chocolate, nuts, seeds, soy snacks or Fuji apples with peanut butter.
Brinkley said her beauty secrets include hair extensions, a positive attitude, and staying engaged in the world around her.
"I don't believe in allowing my age to define me. And I really believe attitude plays a huge part in how you feel. I would be remiss when talking about beauty secrets to not say that one of the best is to care about the world around you. That's what really matters.
Even when I'll be sitting here with gray hair and Georgia O'Keeffe wrinkles, people are going to say, 'There is just something youthful about her.'"
The ridiculously gorgeous Christie insists she has never had plastic surgery, saying she relies on "special facials" once a month to smooth out wrinkles.
In 2010, the NY Post reported that Brinkley got a facelift the day before her daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, got a nose job. Alexa Ray confirmed she got a nose job, allegedly to treat a deviated septum, but Brinkley was coy about her rumored face lift.
"Throughout Christie's career people have speculated that she’s done this or that, which she always chooses to take as a compliment," said her rep.
Whether or not she has had plastic surgery, there's no denying that Brinkley has set a new standard for aging gracefully and remains one of the most beautiful women in the world. [Examiner]
