Bhakti Fest 2012

Featured Event

The Details

At the summer’s end, Bhakti Fest 2012 celebrates its 4th year returning to the Joshua Tree Retreat Center and promises to be another unforgettable celebration of Spirit.   Festival-goers will experience ongoing kirtan on two stages, with over 80 hours of music by notable kirtan performers such as Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, Deva Premal & Miten, Wah, MC Yogi and Dave Stringer. Chant with kirtan leaders as the sun sets and the sun rises and every moment in between!  The nation’s top yoga teachers such as Bryan Kest, Sara Ivanhoe, Saul David Raye and Janet Stone will present their teachings among Joshua Tree’s gorgeous outdoor surroundings and in the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright sanctuary.  Yogis will have the opportunity to dive deeper into their practice with a teacher they know or try a whole new style with someone new!

Tantra yoga, astrology, Tibetan bowl ceromony and meditation workshops are a few of the workshops included in the weekend’s offerings. And, just steps away the healing sanctuary will house top bodyworkers practicing massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, acupuncture and “structural energywork”.

At all Bhakti Fest events you will love visiting our Conscious Vendor Village, where you can indulge and enjoy delicious organic, raw, vegetarian and vegan food as well as  purchase many unique crafts, clothing, music and jewelry.  You can also sample and purchase new wellness products , herbs, superfoods, and much more.

Bhakti Fest is green! The festival’s web host buys wind energy credits to offset energy consumption. During the festival all plastics, paper and glass will be recycled, and only carbon-free, recyclable water bottles will be available for purchase. All food vendors are vegetarian.

Bhakti Fest gives back.  Our charity partners will have booths set-up for people interested in contributing or discovering more about the services of these organizations. Substantial portions of festival proceeds are donated each year.

Attendance at Bhakti Fest 2011 swelled to 3,000, with over 75 hours of Kirtan over four days. Bhakti Fest 2012 promises to be an even more powerful convergence of people and energy! Come early for a special pre-conference Yoga Intensive and stay late for a heart-expanding post-festival yoga intensive with Saul David Raye. You don’t want to miss this amazing event!
