MELANIE FAWER: A practitioner for 20 years, the majority of Melanie’s study has been as an Ashtangi, certified by the legendary Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Honing her teacher’s deceivingly simple advice, “99% practice, 1% theory,” Melanie’s deep understanding of the practice and ability to transmit that to her students comes not only from consistent daily practice but an endless curiosity into the mechanics and psychology of yoga.
Melanie teaches Mysore Style at her studio, The Yoga Room, in New Orleans and has produced a 2 set DVD, “Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga,” intended to aid those that do not have access to a qualified Ashtanga teacher and as a learning tool to those that do. Melanie has a B.A. in Psychology from New York University and makes good use out of it by teaching yoga!! She is ERYT Yoga Alliance Registered – 500 hours. www.ashtangayogaroom.com

Nathalie extensively studied transcendental meditation, the yoga philosophy under Dr. M.A. Jayashree and Professor M.A. Narasimha of Mysore, India.
