Join Karl Straub for a yoga retreat among the beautiful Northern California redwoods this summer!

Karl will be leading a retreat along the gorgeous coast of Northern California with two different weeks to choose from: July 21st – July 27th and/or July 27th – August 4th.  More information below from the event website:

Location
A quiet mountaintop, pure air and water, and surrounded by giant redwoods about 2 1/2 hours drive north from San Francisco!  Reaching the retreat is part of the fun. The drive takes you along coastal villages and incredible Pacific Ocean vistas.  Plan extra time to stop along the way for photos or a picnic.  This is a place you will never forget.  Walk from your cabin into the giant redwoods, or drive 15 min to explore some of California’s most beautiful and untouched coastline in nearby Salt Point State Park.

Transportation
Travel costs are not included in the price.  Guests must arrange their own transportation.  Nearest airports: San Francisco or Oakland.  From San Francisco it is a 2 1/2 hour drive.  Be sure to rent a car in advance and print a copy of these driving directions.

Architecture
Soaring spaces of massive timber and natural stone form a mountain-top retreat center of unique beauty and serenity: a reception lounge with huge fireplace, a glowing dining hall, a spectacular meditation/yoga hall, plus a cozy library and 18 private luxury cabins — each with its own private Jacuzzi bath and deck!

Accommodations
18 Luxury Cabins provide absolute privacy, quiet, and comfort for guests.  Organic cotton linens, wood floors, Jacuzzi tub, and your own private deck looking out into the mountains and redwood forest.  Each cabin is situated for full privacy, and yet just a short stroll to the yoga and dining halls.  The cabins are spacious, sophisticated, modern, and luxurious.  Perfect for couples or for anyone looking for comfort, quiet, and privacy.

The Food
Excellent chef-prepared vegetarian meals 3x per day!  Included in the price.

Schedule
7:15 morning meditation, 8:00 full breakfast (in silence), 10:00 invigorating morning yoga, 12:00 lunch, 12:45 Personal Free Time,  4:30pm relaxing yoga class and/or group thai massage practice, 6:00pm dinner,  8:00pm evening program (music, stories, special guests). 9:00pm silence until after breakfast.

Activities and Attractions
Ample free time presents an opportunity for you to follow your heart.  Maybe one afternoon you just want to rest, read, or soak in your private Jacuzzi tub.  Or take a memorable walk in the redwoods around the retreat.  Or drive 15 min to Salt Point State Park and hike some of the many miles of marked coastal trail, or explore the picturesque coves along the coast.  Or visit a coffee shop in the quaint town of Jenner.  There are plenty of outdoor delights, and always you have the sanctuary of your cabin and the retreat facilities (like the lovely and cozy library) to enjoy and relax as needed.  You will meet interesting guests from around the world, and you’re sure to come away with some new friends.
