Jam of the Week | Bob Dylan "Shelter From the Storm"

Back by popular demand–the YOGANONYMOUS Jam of the Week—a chance to discover new (or old) music that you can incorporate into your practice, or just rock out with anytime of the day.

With millions of people feeling the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy's rage this morning, we thought this tune appropriate for our #JOTW. Our hearts go out to all of you, and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Shelter from the Storm released Dylan's 15th studio album Blood on the Tracks in 1975, also appears on two live albums: Hard Rain in 1976 and At Budokan in 1978. An alternate version of the song (which is what you will hear below) is featured in the original soundtrack for the movie Jerry Maguire. Accompanied by Tangled Up in Blue, it was one of two songs from Blood on the Tracks to be re-released on the compilation The Essential Bob Dylan.

Do you have a #JOTW that you want to share with the community? We want to know what your jammin’ out to—or mellowing out to—email write@yoganonymous.com with #JOTW in the subject line and your song could be the next Jam of the Week!
