New Moon in Aquarius: Let Your Freak Flag Fly

The New Moon for February 18th is, amazingly, the second Aquarius new moon this year.

This double whammy of Aquarius fans the flames of your individual nature, brings fanciful intuitive flashes and encourages you to share your special gifts with the world.

If ever there was a time to let your freak flag fly free, this is it.

Since the New Moon enters Pisces only ten seconds after the “official” New Moon occurs, we also have some Piscean energy influencing this lunation.

While Aquarian intuition is like a flash of lightning, Piscean intuition is fluid. No matter whether you feel the watery nature of your intuition or the flashy nature of your inspiration, this moon is absolutely encouraging you to follow your intuitive hits as it is fueling their energy in a variety of ways.

Aquarius and Pisces also encourage movement. This close connection with the moon to both Pisces and Aquarius also influences our interest in spiritual pursuits through compassion, community and any practice that heightens our sense of connectedness. A relationship to Pluto in the sky at this time gives this push toward spiritual unity an emphasis on serving the highest good. Only when we release our darkness and shed the dross will we feel the impeccable lightness of being.

The Pisces influence that this New Moon will usher us into is heavily influenced by unconditional love and compassion.

A unique aspect in the sky between Venus, Mars, Juno and Saturn will smoothly support partnerships (romantic and friendly) in a productive, and stable way. Between these two powerful forces (the lunation and the aspect pattern), you’ve got a great recipe for some solid love for the next couple weeks.
