Quote of the Week 'The Only People for Me are The Mad Ones'

With the exception of today's “mindful revolution," there are few moments in history that more encompass the ethos of mindfulness than that of the Beatniks who lead the former revolution. 

Crisscrossing the country in search for a deeper truth, these artistic geniuses arguably brought the first wave of Eastern philosophy mainstream, foreshadowing the spiritual deep-dives of Ken Kesey and Timothy Leary. And no one did it better than Jack Kerouac.

On his quest for inner truth, Kerouac said,“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.”

This week, become one of the mad ones. Find your inner truth. Spread the light. Don't be afraid to get weird. And burn, burn, burn.
