A unique opportunity to dive deeply into the richness, beauty and power of the Shakti Goddesses and their consorts in their traditional home. The tour is both a profound inner journey and an outer adventure, each day exploring an individual goddess through mythology, mantra and meditation and the magic of experiential astrology, then going to visit her temples in this quiet part of India during Navratri, the annual 9 day festival to the goddess.
Our base is a small guesthouse run by a generous and loving Indian family in the small pilgrimage town of Ganeshpuri, two hours from Mumbai. Our circle work takes place in a pavillion in the middle of their family's flower farm and our outer adventures take in local temples and a four day trip visiting ancient mountain temples to Kali, Durga and Shiva.
The program is spacious and flexible so that we can take in the ceremonies, chanting and circle dances of Navratri, enjoy the simplicity of a still traditional small town and its countryside, river and hot springs.
The tour culminates in a Shiva Shakti sacred marriage ceremony facilitated by Daniel with the men doing their Shiva business and a guest medicine woman facilitating the women's business.
