Where do you currently live/primarily teach? LA

What first comes to mind when you think about NYC? Fall walks through central park, that’s my favorite time of year there.  I used to live half a block from central park and walk my dog there daily, it was the highlight of my day.

What’s it like teaching yoga in New York?  I love teaching in NYC, there’s so much diversity in the city and in classes.  Everyone comes for different reasons, from such different backgrounds, I love that!

Best yoga pose for New Yorkers? Savasana, lol.  New Yorkers are so type A, which is one reason I love them but less is more there for sure.  My patients there were always really compliant until it came to slowing down…. :)

What are you most excited about for this years YJ Live! event, and what will you be offering? I’m so excited to be teaching an all day intensive workshop for teachers on how to use yoga as medicine with students.  It’s my passion and what excites me most, it’s also my new brand/community of highly educated teacher, Yoga Medicine.  I’m very excited about it. It’s launching within the next couple months!

Favorite thing to do in NYC outside of the studio? Snuggle with my family and dear friends at my home.

Go-to Big Apple “guilty-pleasure”? Wondering through SoHo without an agenda...

Anything else that you’d like to add about this year’s Yoga Journal LIVE! in NYC? I’m very excited to be back in NYC with a ton of incredible teachers and take a bunch of classes.
