We hope that you had a wonderful Labor Day, and are getting back into the swing of things and enjoying the first days of fall! A new season is a wonderful time to start a new practice, or re-ignite the flame in your current one. We have so many awesome events going on this weekend, from Bhakti Fest to Wanderlust Yoga in the City, as well as Flavorpill’s Art of Yoga events and lululemon’s Gospel of Sweat!

Joshua Tree, CA

Thursday, September 6th – Sunday, September 9th

This weekend, Bhakti Fest 2012 celebrates its 4th year returning to the Joshua Tree Retreat Center and promises to be another unforgettable celebration of Spirit.

Festival-goers will experience ongoing kirtan on two stages, with over 80 hours of music by notable kirtan performers such as Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, Deva Premal & Miten, Wah, MC Yogi and Dave Stringer. Chant with kirtan leaders as the sun sets and the sun rises and every moment in between!  The nation’s top yoga teachers such as Bryan Kest, Sara Ivanhoe, Saul David Raye and Janet Stone will present their teachings among Joshua Tree’s gorgeous outdoor surroundings and in the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright sanctuary.  Yogis will have the opportunity to dive deeper into their practice with a teacher they know or try a whole new style with someone new!

Regardless of circumstance, seed that holds a bloom carries the innate desire to blossom. This sadhana unwinds a tale that takes place in the space of a chariot, a vehicle for the mind, body, and breath to dive us deeper into twisting our perceptions across ourselves to create space for radical spaces of listening, insight, and freedom based on the foundations of truth, trust, faith, and experience.

Heart of the Goddess, Practical Magic | 9/9 | 11am – 1:30pm: There are many myths of the goddesses from this and that leveraging the practical to a state of the magical. These myths can be embodied as we study great integration as means to inspire confidence in the WHOLE of the body, rather than the pieces and parts to leverage a skill to step from the earth to the sky, without drama, with radiant confidence, into handstand in the center of the room.

Join Alanna Kaivalya at Love Yoga Center in Naples, FL this weekend, for 3 amazing workshops!

Wanderlust and Yoga Aid are proud to present Wanderlust Yoga in the City, a series of free outdoor yoga events in September featuring top teachers, acclaimed musicians and renowned speakers.

Taking place in Santa Monica and New York City this weekend, the events will raise money for charities that embrace the power of yoga, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to organizations like Off the Mat, Into the World, and Yoga Across America.

RSVP for your spot at the event, which features instructor Elise Lorimer, music by J Boogie, and free museum entry after the event and Naked® Pure Coconut Water. The first 100 people at the event score a free yoga mat, but we promise that everyone will leave reinvigorated, replenished, and refreshed. Doors open at 8am, class starts at 8:30am.
